Chevy Duramax

Chevrolet's Duramax Diesel Engine Deserves The Best Protection Money Can Buy, Amsoil's Premium Synthetic Diesel Oil's Protect Better Than Conventional Lubricants

Just trying to keep up with your scheduled maintenance on your vehicle can be a very time consuming task.  Even if you are maintaining the recommended schedule your dealer advises, it doesn't mean you are always getting the best protection.

Having the recommended services on your vehicle is important, but isn't the quality of the products the dealer (or quick lube) is putting in your vehicle just as important?  You bet it is and why would you want to put inferior lubricants in your expensive truck when you can clearly gain an advantage with Amsoil.

Amsoil makes 4 different synthetic oils for the Duramax: 15W-40 (AME) 10W-30 (ACD) or 5W-30 (HDD).  If you own a 2007 or beyond then you will need to use Amsoil's new CJ-4 rated oil, which is a 5W-40 (DEO).

All of the above listed synthetic oils have been a proven performer in diesel and gasoline engines.  Fleet demonstrations and countless miles of over-the-road use have shown Amsoil Synthetics superior to conventional oils.

With drain intervals up to 25,000-miles Amsoil has clearly gotten the industries attention when it comes to reducing maintenance cost and extending the life of your engines.

You don't have to use Amsoil for the full 25,000 miles, but you can rest assured that we have millions of miles of testing already under our belts.  Here is a product data sheet on Amsoil's 15W-40 Diesel Marine Oil.  Check out all the specs on this oil and the service intervals.

One of the features to the Duramax is they now come with a great performing Allison Transmission.  Allison has been known for years to make one of the best Transmissions in the business.

Along with your Allison Transmission it is recommended that you use a specific fluid made by Castrol called Transynd Fluid with a spec referred to as TES-295.  Some dealers have gone so far as to say this is the only fluid you can use.  This, however is not a true statement and Amsoil makes a more affordable product to use in place of the Transynd Fluid.

Amsoil's Torque Drive Transmission Fluid meets the TES-295 spec and will not void any warranty either Chevrolet or Allison's.  Costing as much as a third less it is a viable alternative to consider.

Note: Where extended drain intervals are recommended by the OEM, follow that recommendation.  This includes the recommendations set by Allison in document #1099C for TES-295 fluids.

The number one concern for most diesel operators is the inconsistent quality of diesel fuel.  Amsoil Diesel Concentrate provides maximum diesel operating efficiency.  It compensates for the variances in quality of different fuels (including biodiesel) and the deficiencies of today's Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel fuel (ULSD) for better engine operation.

If you are investing in the best oil for your Duramax don't forget about your filters.  Amsoil's Ea Air Filters and Ea Oil Filters surpasses all other technology in efficiency, capacity and service life.  With Amsoil Ea Filters, dust and submicron particles remain on the surface and are trapped on top of the nanofibers, preventing particles from lodging in the filter media depth.

Amsoil's Ea Air Filters will last 100,000 miles or 4 years with just one simple cleaning a year.  Just use light shop air or a vacuum to clean, no messy cleaning solutions like you use for wet cotton gauze filters.

Note: The Chevy Duramax will use an EaO-52 Oil Filter and either a EaA-111, 112, 121 or 123 Air Filter.  You can also check all the correct part numbers for your vehicle be checking our OnLine Application Guide.
