How to make money in AMSOIL
(note: the below option is for individuals becoming an Amsoil Dealer, those wishing to sell Amsoil through a retail outlet can make considerably more depending on the size of your business)

 With all the At-Home-Businesses on the Internet it can get very confusing on what's real and what's not.  Is there such a thing as "get rich quick"?  I think by now we all the know the answer to that question.

Amsoil is a valid business opportunity and if worked correctly can develop into a viable business.  Most at home businesses advertise that their business is the easiest and that anyone can do it.  This is not only not true but gives false hope to people getting involved.

No business is perfect for everyone so let's be blunt about that.  With that said Amsoil certainly isn't for everyone.  Amsoil is a business that works, but there is no sense in sugar coating it, products must be sold in order to make money.

On this page I will lay out exactly what it takes to actually make money and how to do it.  It's not hard, but does take a consistent effort.  With Amsoil what you build is yours for life, Amsoil's business model has been in place since 1972 and they have never failed to payout commissions.

How to start your Amsoil business

Every Amsoil Dealer must register with Amsoil Inc. and must be sponsored by another Amsoil Dealer.  Whenever a new Dealer is registered a G-18C form must be completed and mailed to Amsoil.  This is the one form that must be mailed to Amsoil.  You can print off a Dealer application here to get started.

After registering you want to immediately switch your vehicle over to Amsoil to start experiencing the dramatic difference that Amsoil delivers.  Here is the best way to switch over:

  • Flush your engine with Amsoil's engine flush (follow instructions on the bottle)
  • Install a new Amsoil EaA or WIX air filter
  • Install Amsoil Synthetic Motor Oil and a new EaO-Oil Filter
  • Run 1 bottle of Amsoil's Performance Improver or Diesel Additive thru your fuel system (follow instruction on bottle)

Gaining Product Knowledge

Of course the best way is to experiment with as many product as you can and compare your results with what you previously used.  Your own testimony about the product will go a long way when you start introducing the Amsoil product line to your future customer's and clients.

Amsoil also produces a wide range of technical data that you have available to study and learn the facts about every product.  There are also plenty of area's within Amsoil's website where Dealer's can login and take on-line courses to increase your knowledge of all the products.

How to properly register new accounts

Since this is one of Amsoil's most lucrative programs it is beneficial to learn the proper way to register retail and commercial accounts.

This is really easier than it sounds.  There are only 3 forms for each account and are for the most part self explanatory.  All you are doing is supplying Amsoil with the company's information and sending the proper forms to establish credit for the businesses you approach that wish to have credit terms with Amsoil.  

Once you start registering accounts and properly maintain them these accounts are your's for the rest of your life as long as you remain an active Amsoil Dealer.  Once you are registered I can walk you through the process. 

How Amsoil pays out commissions

Most MLM commission schedules are so complicated that you need an attorney to understand them.  In this example I'm not going to go into the full explanation of downline commissions, although it's easy to understand, the main part is understanding the immediate commissions you can earn.

You are paid with one check every month, however you are actually earning commissions from two different areas.  The first area is Amsoil's commission schedule, which is based on your total volume.

Every Amsoil product you sell has commission credits assigned to it and the total commission credits for the month is how you are paid.  The commission schedule is as follows:

The ultimate goal is to reach the 3,000 commission credit level so that you can obtain the rank of Direct Jobber.  After reaching Direct Jobber you will qualify for additional commissions from other Dealer's you sponsor and they become Direct Jobbers.

It's very important to build a solid commission base and that is easily done through the many programs Amsoil allows you to participate in.  There are several ways to build commission credits and here are just a few of them:

  • Register Preferred Customers-This is Amsoil's version of joining Sam's Club.  Your preferred customer's volume goes directly towards your commission credits adding to your monthly credits

  • Register Commercial Accounts-Earn a straight 10% commission plus additional volume from these accounts goes directly towards your commission credits

  • Register Retail Accounts-Earn a straight 20% commission plus additional volume from these accounts goes directly towards your commission credits

 

 What can you expect to make in the first 1-5 years

Remember this is a business opportunity and with any business opportunity a realistic expectation of income should be discussed.  You won't ever hear or see Amsoil Dealers saying you can make thousands of dollars every month and never have to work.  This is a business and all businesses have to be worked.

With a consistent effort of registering preferred customers (2-3/month) and 1-2 commercial and/or retail accounts a month you can expect to make the rank of Direct Jobber within 18-24 months.  At this level you can expect to make about $1000/month. 

This is a very achievable goal to strive for and very much in reach for anyone that wants to build an Amsoil business.  The above example can be accomplished with a very minimal investment.  The biggest investment is your time, but this goal can easily be achieved on a part-time basis.

With a consistent effort over time it is common with most Dealers starting out to grow their business by $4000-$6000/year.  Some Dealers have grown their business faster than this, but this is about the average for most people starting out on a part-time basis.

What it comes down to is this plain and simple: The first two years are the hardest, but once past this your business actually starts growing at a faster pace.  It is a very real possibility that after 5 years to achieve income level's of anywhere from $25,000-$45,000/year on a part-time basis.

Instead of inflating figures like every other business opportunity on the Internet I hope you appreciate the facts about Amsoil and it's potential.  6-figure incomes have been achieved in Amsoil in under 5 years for some people, but to promise you that would be wrong.

The question you want to ask yourself is: what would it be like to have an extra $25,000-$45,000/year in less than 5 years?  With today's economy in the shape that it's in, this sounds pretty good.

Amsoil University

Amsoil puts on a very good school in May of every year.  There is a cost associated with going including lodging and meals.  The school is designed to accelerate the learning curve and increase your odds of establishing profitable accounts in a shorter time frame.  

It is not mandatory that you attend the school, but it can add a base of knowledge to your business not found with other business opportunities.  Up until you make the decision to attend Amsoil University you really don't have a big investment in Amsoil other than your time.
