Valvoline's Guarantee??
Not such a great guarantee

How good is Valvoline new engine guarantee?  Not so great when you read the fine print.

When you first look at Valvoline's new 300,000-mile Engine Guarantee you might ask yourself-is there a catch to this?  Well, yes there is and it's going to cost you.  Take a look at the loopholes:

Catch #1:

If you want the 300,000-mile guarantee you have to purchase their Full Synthetic Oil

Catch #2:

You have to get your oil changed every 3,000-miles (about $60.00 for a full synthetic oil change) with a 1,000-mile grace period

Catch #3:

You have to keep track of all your receipts and then log into the Valvoline site and record all your oil changes (are you kidding me)

Catch #4:

You must own your car and it has to have less than 75,000 miles on it (no leased vehicles)

Catch #5:

You have to get your oil changed at Valvoline for 18 months straight to get the program going

Do the math: example- if you register for this 300,000-mile guarantee and follow the guidelines it will cost you a whopping $2280.00 and thats if you only kept the vehicle for 150,000-miles, double that if you hang on to it for the entire 300,000 miles.  Do you really want to spend over $4500.00 on oil changes?

Based on the prices of Valvoline's full synthetic oil change prices (around $60-$65 per visit) that's a lot of money not to mention 38 trips to get this service done.

If you used Amsoil for the entire 300,000 miles you would only need 12 oil changes for the life of the vehicle, which amounts to about $800.00 at full retail and about 25% less if you buy as a Preferred Customer.

Amsoil has their own warranty for all their products, although there has never been a claim issued it is there for you.

You do the math, is it worth it to make 38 trips to Valvoline and spend well over $4500.00 or does it make more sense to change your oil once-a-year and spend about $800.00

Advantages of Amsoil

Amsoil doesn't make you register just to use our oil.  You can become a Amsoil preferred customer and get a 25% discount on your oil.

Amsoil's 25,000-mile intervals are far superior to 3,000-mile oil changes.  Who wants to get 3 or 4 oil changes a year when you can do it once-a-year with Amsoil.

Better fuel mileage! Test after test Amsoil Synthetic Lubricants have proven to increase your fuel mileage by 3-8%.  This fact alone is worth switching to Amsoil.

Keep these facts in mind before you sign on the dotted line.  Valvoline's 300,000-mile guarantee can really cost you or just use Amsoil and keep your money in the bank.
